On the Wings Of Hope
As time goes on, the way we live has no longer as usual, it constantly changes into different shapes while inheriting the dream of residents. The client of this project moved their whole family here to ensure that their elderly parents and children will have a more comfortable residential space. Therefore, we recreate a new floor plan based on the living habits of the client for this 10-year-old house. Making the residential space
cozy, simple and more suitable for not only the elderly and children but the whole family. As to the reason why we named this project "On the Wings of Hope" is because the client is a pilot, and the name also means it carries our clients' dream and flies them into another stage of life.
On the design plan of this mansion, in order to complete a living style of reunion, the living room is separated into children's playground and living room area by the TV wall. Hence, the TV wall is a combination of half wall and rotating cavity TV stand with white baking paint and a designed R angle so that the overall pattern will not be too sharp but more mellow and full. As to the function, people can watch TV from these two sides by the rotating design and also preserve the transparency.
Utilizing large display cabinets as visual focus and to give prominence to the design concept, the designer designed the doors in the long corridor and the storage cabinets with hidden doors, not only emphasizing the simpleness and order, but also making people focus on the showcase.
Considering the family structure of the clients, the designer has planned the public a spacious and transparent visual effect, so that family members can make connections with each other in it. In order to combine the area's visual sight together, the wall in the kitchen is demolished and also the stir-fried food area and light meal area is well separated by communication with the client. After a long discussion and many times of rearrangements, the construction is more spacious and the whole family's living space is closer.
As to the private area, which is held as a place for the family to rest, using simple color to combine with carpenter works, drawing an elegant outline. At the same time, with the spirit of simplicity, the designer has integrated brief iron works with wood tone colors, preserving the sunlights and concentrating elegant concepts inside the house, converting into subtle dust under the lights without interference.
